Staff training
The Mental Health and Wellbeing team offer a range of training sessions to staff. Topics include an introduction to Safeguarding and Report and Support, Dealing with Students in Distress and an introduction to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Team. More details can be found here: Staff Training : Birmingham City University. Staff also complete mandatory Safeguarding and Prevent training via ERP.
Training on issues associated with Report and Support are available to University staff in ERP and should be accessed via the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion site on iCity.
EDI training content includes topics such as:

- Unconscious Bias
- Diversity in Recruitment
- LGBT
- Disability
- Transgender awareness
- Micro- aggressions
- Inclusive Teaching
We recommend that all staff undertake EDI training to raise awareness, deepen your own understanding and develop new skills to play your part in creating a diverse, supportive and inclusive place to work.
